With their second project for the Blender Foundation after “ElephantsDream“, Imagion has again produced a “demo disc“ for upcoming featureson Blu-ray – impressively showing the advantages of the new format overDVD. The disc tersely shows the abilities of the format when combiningthe movie with interactive features and web-enabled content

The movie comes in1080/24p full HD resolution and with 5.1 audio. The menus give accessto the technical highlights of the Blu-ray release. Check it out:

• Activatable picture-in-picture videos are:
• PiP1 Animations: Shows the original storyboards

• PiP3 Blender View: Shows the rough renders from “Blender”, which is the software used for the production of the movie

dynamicHD-live: Thisbutton gives access to additional content via the internet. UsingdynamicHD on BD-Live players, users can retrieve a vast variety ofinformation, interactive elements, and communication modules. Byconnecting the Blu-ray player to the internet the user reaches contentthat always keeps the disc up-to-date. Imagion has implemented thefollowing modules with the release of the title – there is more tocome!
