Player Set Up

To enjoy the dynamicHD web-enabled features, please make sure that your Playstation 3 is connected to the internet and the latest firmware version is installed.

Please follow the steps below to set up your Internet connection properly:
(For more detailed step by step instructions and access to other network settings please refer to your player's owner's manual)

 

To ensure your player has the latest firmware or software installed, please check your hardware manufacturer's website for latest firmware of software updates. If upgrades are available it is suggested that you follow its installation instructions.

Player Set Up

To enjoy the web-enabled features, please make sure that you player is connected to the internet and the latest firmware version is installed.

Please follow the steps below to set up your Internet connection: (For more detailed step by step instructions and access to other network settings please refer to your player's owner's manual)

First check your BD - Live Internet Acces

Connect the LAN ( 100 ) terminal of the player to your Internet source.

Select this when DHCP ( Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) server settings are available from your Internet service provider. The network settings necessary for the player will be assigned automatically.

If your ISP has no specific proxy server setting, set "user Proxy Server" to "off".

Select "Network Diagnostic" and press Enter. Select "Start" and press Enter to begin. Check that the message "Network connections are correct." appears. The setup is finished. If the message does not appear, follow the on - screen message.

How to erase your BD Video Data if you have trouble

 

You have the choice to erase one specific data file ( for example "Men in Black ) or to erase all data files. To erase all data files select "Shared Cache Data" and press Enter. Press "ok" to continue.

Latest firmware or software

To ensure your player has the latest firmware or software installed, please check your hardware manufacturer's website for latest firmware of software updates. If upgrades are available it is suggested that you follow its installation instructions.

You can update and improve the functions of the player. Select "Network Update" and press Enter. The player connects to the network, and the display asks for confirmation.

Select "ok" and press Enter. The player starts downloading, then updating the software automatically. When updating finishes, "Finish" appears for 5 seconds in the front panel display, then the player automatically turns off.

The player starts up with the updated software.

If you have no internet connection, following message will appear :

In that case check your Network Settings or Network Cable.

Set your Option to “permit”

Set the DHCP and DNS settings both in the player's Setup menu to ON.

Error Messages

Error Message:


The network cable is not plugged into your player or your wireless LAN is not activated. Please connect your Blu – ray player to the internet and try again.

Solution:
The Blu – ray player is unable to connect to the server. This error occurs when the player is not connected to the internet - please make sure that your player is connected to the internet (e.g. via the Ethernet connection or wireless LAN). To connect your player to the internet please refer to your player's manual and follow its setup instructions for DHCP, DNC, and Proxy. For further instructions on how to connect your player to the network click here.
If the error occurs permanently please contact the player manufacturer or disc producer for further support.

 

Error Message:

Connection timeout. Please try again later.

Solution:
The server may be temporarily unavailable. Please wait a few minutes and try again later.

Error Message:

The dynamicHD Server is not reachable. Please check your player settings or try again later.

Solution:
To check if it can connect to the server the player first attempts to make a TCP connection to the server before it sends an HTTP request. If this TCP connection fails a timeout may occur.

To resolve the problem please try the following:
1. Ensure that the player is connected to the internet (e.g. via the Ethernet connection or wireless LAN).
2. The server may be temporarily unavailable. Please wait a few minutes and try again later.
3. If the error occurs permanently please contact the player manufacturer or disc producer for further support.

 

Error Message:

Internal dynamicHD server error. Please try again later.

Solution:

Not enough space in the persistent storage of your Blu – ray player. Please delete some files on your Blu – ray player and refer to your player's manual.

Solution:
1. Try deleting some files from the player's persistent storage and then try again.
2. If the error occurs permanently please contact the player manufacturer or disc producer for further support.
